Wilderness Survival Level-A (Houston area)

Wilderness survival course just north of Houston!
Been wanting to get out more? Feel kind of restricted to front country camp sites due to lack of knowledge or skills? Fix that.
This course is 1 of 3 based upon military SERE training (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape). While we cannot share with you some training aspects of SERE, specifically the “Resistance” portion due to NDA, we will share other aspects of survival.
Level-A focuses on:
*Proper trip PRE-planning
*Proper mindset for survival
*Beginners Land Nav/orienteering
*Beginners fire, shelter, water skills
*Basic wilderness first aid
*Signaling for rescue
*Common Wild edibles for the region
*Basic knots and rope work

After March 1st: $125

Your instructor will be a Marine veteran and SERE graduate of all three levels of SERE training (A, B, and C). He is a Firefighter, Medic, long range shooter, backpacker, outdoorsman, and student of nature.
Students should bring:
*Basic camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc)
*Basic first aid kit
*Appropriate clothing for camping/hiking
Having tools in your tool box is the difference between surviving and not. There is a great big world out there to explore. Equip yourself with the knowledge and confidence to enjoy is SAFELY, and with peace of mind.
