Basic Canine Obedience (Houston)

10 spaces available only. Basic Canine Obedience is NOT a law enforcement “K9” course.

Your instructor for this day will be an OEF 82nd Airborne veteran, and certified trainer of police K9 teams.

Cost: $65 per person


Basic Canine ObedienceLocation: Memorial Park, Houston Participants should bring:
* Leash
* NECK collar w/ leash ring (NOT a harness)
* Your dogs favorite treats OR favorite toy
* A supply of water for your dog & you
* Crate to rest in (optional)

You will be learning the basic fundamentals of K9 obedience. A well trained dog is a less stressed dog, and a less stressed owner. This helps reduce overall tension within the home, and increases manageability in times of crisis.

TOPICS COVERED:
* Basic canine psychology & behavior
* Effective handler behavior
* Retention of positive control over canine
* Obtaining RELIABLE obedience as opposed to just SITUATIONAL obedience

*** All of this gives the owner bolstered confidence as a handler to teach your canine new things.
