This is not your average gear review. We did not just pick this Etekcity Camp Stove up a couple weeks ago, a couple months ago, or even a couple YEARS ago. No, we bought this ETEKCITY Camp stove and Burner over THREE years ago! We’ve taken it everywhere from Aspen, to Big Bend. We’ve USED it. I mean REALLY used it.
Let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this review. That’s why you’re here, right? You want to know how it did.
It passed. It more than passed. This thing didn’t just squeek by like some gear, this thing took every ass whoopin we could throw at it and came back for more like Rudy. We all love Rudy, right?
Here’s a quick video describing why we like it so much. You can get one HERE… but still, watch the review.
Basically, it comes down to a simple cost:benefit ratio. It also comes down to a weight:benefit ratio, but it’s the return on investment that makes this thing shine. When we originally bought this thing over 3 years ago, I think it was listed at $9. Today, it’s listed at $12 or $13. Still not a bad deal by any measure when you consider some of its competitors are ranging in price from $20 to $60 or more. Currently there is a deal for two burner for $18 or $19, which makes it almost back to the original price we paid.
This time around, we’re buying two Etekcity Camp Stove and putting one in our kit, and one in the “backup gear” bin.
